Staircase renovation in Stockport, Cheshire

Below is a recently completed project in Offerton, Stockport. The customer wanted to modernise their existing dated stair design with something lighter and without any further maintenance. As the staircase is located in the lounge it was a great idea to refurbish the staircase, creating a feature that would be in view whilst sat in the lounge and on first entering their home. Toughened glass combined with high quality oak was the style of choice. Glass was to be mounted on stainless steel brackets.

As part of the project the handrail was offset to create extra finger clearance when passing the upper floor.

All main stair components were fully replaced with high quality oak and all other exposed parts were overlayed with oak veneers.

Lighter & brighter with no further finishing required. A durable clear coating was applied to all parts before the installation, our coating is professionally spray applied and will seal the wood for years to come.

The existing carpet was removed whilst the job took place, this was quickly re-fitted the next day. The customer was back to normal with the addition of a beautiful staircase all within 3 days. No further decorating or plastering was required after the install.

Through possitive recommendation and a fair quotation provided we further went on to renovate their neighbours staircase, photos of which will be posted when the customer has completed their decorating.
