Ranch style Staircase renovation in Cheshire

Ranch style staircase, complete staircase renovation for safety and design.

The customer had recently moved into this property with 2 young children, immediately safety was a concern with this old and dated ranch style staircase.

The customer required a complete change to their current staircase design. They required a conventional staircase design with the minimum of disruption. A more typical closed in design with stair strings would enable them to lay a full stair carpet and would be much safer for their children. The current staircase set over 3 levels had a significant risk of falling and slipping on the bare wooden surface.

Their choice of material kept their staircase renovation well within budget, opting for oak handrails & caps with contrasting pine newel posts and spindles. The customer chose to apply the final finish to the staircase himself.

With the treads and risers now fully closed off, having a conventional staircase has now been achieved. Safety and design have been improved greatly.

The customer is planning on a full renovation of their home, once completed we will post finished pictures of this impressive renovation that has gone from unsafe and dated to a modern staircase design that is safe for all the family.
