Glass Staircase Renovation in Sandbach
Glass Staircase Renovation in Sandbach
Before the staircase renovation.
As part of an extensive home renovation project the staircase was to be completely modernised. A change was required from the old ranch style bannisters to a more contemporary modern glass style staircase.
Having re-configured the kitchen layout to the ground floor the stud wall to the right of the staircase was to be completely removed, allowing for an open side view to the staircase and then enabling the introduction of glass panels. The proposed kitchen layout together with the removal of the stud wall would mean the staircase would now be a main focal point within the kitchen area.
A feature oak bullnose step, finished in our durable non-slip coating was to be introduced.
By modernising to a glass staircase you can instantly increase any available natural light and further maximise the feeling of space in any style of home. The glass on this project was set in-line without the need to use glass mounting brackets, adding a sleek and minimal feel to the design.
All the main components were fully replaced using our latest pre-finished oak profiles. The main strings to the staircase were also overlayed using a durable oak veneered board.

If you are looking to modernise your staircase, we can help and guide you through every step of the process. As with this project we offered advise on the removal of the stud wall and worked along side the customers builder to ensure the desired result was achieved.
The new oak doors and freshly painted walls combined with a new glass staircase have really transformed this home into a space that can be enjoyed by all the family for years to come.
