After their building works were completed, a modern oak and glass staircase would ensure safety as well as providing a huge feature to this space. No existing newel posts were present at the bottom of the staircase. Due to the position of the staircase, the new handrail would need to be offset to allow the handrail to pass and to achieve finger clearance.
