Safety was the main initial concern with this staircase design. The curved steel used as the main balustrade and the spaces between exceeding current regulations, posing quite a hazard for children etc. The new stair design was to fully renovate the existing staircase using high quality pre-finished oak. Newel posts, handrails, base-rails and spindles were to be fully replaced with high quality oak stair parts.

In under 3 days without any building work the staircase has been transformed.
