Glass staircase renovation in Manchester

An oak and glass staircase was required to transform this large entrance of this stunning home in Manchester. The existing posts were unstable and were showing signs of serious damage. Panneling was originally nailed over the posts and once removed they were quite damaged. Newel posts were to be fully replaced with solid oak. Handrails were to be replaced also in solid oak.

The glass staircase gallery landing was transformed in under 2 days.

In addition toughened glass was to replace the old spindle design. Glass was to be mounted on stainless steel brackets.

The new glass and oak staircase looks amazing, fitting perfectly into this stunning modern home.

Using the existing staircase we were able to profesionally renovate it into a high quality feature staircase. All other exposed areas were overlayed with oak vennered board. Our stairparts were pre-finished in a durable coating before the instalation, ensuring the wood is fully sealed. No further work is required to the finish once installed.
